Come to Albuquerque for the International Balloon Fiesta which is held the first full week in October and runs for 9 days! There are more than 700 balloons in the sky at one time! It is considered to be one of the most photographed event in the world drawing both domestic and international balloonists and spectators. Mass ascensions, when more than 700 balloons lift off, are held on all four weekend mornings and one day mid-week.
