I was born and raised in Taos. I hate going on this bridge! I will NOT take my daughters to that bridge. I will not drive over it or even go towards it. I have heard the same thing or had this feeling come over me to jump or I am so afraid something is going to push me over. I will never ever go towards or near that damn bridge!

This is great! I am retired now and am looking forward to learning colcha embroidery; I always enjoyed doing basic embroidery when I was young. I also hope to get help with crocheting since I am not very good at it. This certainly sounds like the place to get help and also see the different fibers. I am told they are wonderful. I am so excited to attend the events but did not find a schedule of events for the three days. Can I get one someplace?

Thanks!

Dear Reader,
I am a 53-Swiss man, and this fall I like to visit New Mexico (I was there once, 15 years ago). I will be travelling on a bicycle, so I only carry a little tent, Could you I point me to a list of basic-campgrounds (not RV-places). As far as I can remember you find them in State Parks. Is this still the case?
I thank you in advance for any answer.

I recently watched the show about ballooning on PBS. It was wonderful. I would love to see it all in person. We are in Indiana, near Indianapolis. Quite a trip, but not from around the world like some people. Hurrah for New Mexico.

Last June (09) we booked the 'Parlor Car' from Chama to Antonito. When we booked we made it clear we would be staying in Taos and wanted to drive to the closest depot. Our trip was scheduled for 2 October and when we arrived at the Chama Depot, they had sold our Parlor Car seats. Since all seats were taken we had to ride in the Caboose with three other couples in the same situation with no service at all. One of the wheels on the car had a flat spot in it so we listened and felt the thump of it for five hours. When we complained to the company they offered us a 10% discount on ONE ticket for a future booking. Needless to say there won't be a future booking as this was totally unsat. As a result we would never recommend this railroad to anyone. If you do book, make sure your seat is written in stone.

Four years ago about dusk i visited the bridge with my friend and her kids. The were afraid to walk on the bridge, but I wasn't even though I don't like heights. On the way back across, I kept hearing "Jump!" whispered in my ear. I ran alike crazy to the car. Afterwards I found out about the ghost who tries to make people jump. I didn't see her, but I heard her loud and clear! I don't care to ever walk the bridge again, even though I may be in Taos next month.
