Kit Carson House-Taos, New Mexico

Kit Carson was known as a trapper and mountain man.  He served as an Indian Agent and Army officer during the Indian Wars.

The adobe house which is one story, was built in 1825 and designed as a Spanish Colonial style in the shape of a "U", including a front portal and wooden beams.  The houses interior has nine rooms, which seven of them today are the original, and surround an open patio.  The patio has a traditional Mexican mud oven and a well.

The Kit Carson House ia a National Historic Landmark and is located in Taos, New Mexico.
