Santa Fe Historic District-Santa Fe, New Mexico

Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the United States, which was founded in 1610.  The original settlement was made of low adobe buildings which created a defensive wall .  Today, the plaza remains intact and is the heart of the historic district, consisting of numerous buildings in the Spanish-Pueblo, Territorial and 19th century non-indigenous architectural styles.

The Palace of the Governors host tours of historic downtown Santa Fe at 10:15 am (Monday-Saturday, May-October)
